we are set

folks, we are set for tomorrows foot race around macca mall. just to be clear, we run outside the mall and not inside and the finish line and meeting point is at gate 4. come early, about 9:30 am as the start for the small distance is sharp at 10:00 am. the start of the longer distance will be when the kid’s are done (around 10:30 or 10:40am).

the last foot race is coming

here comes the last foot race invitation for this winter. make your shoes ready. two weeks after the dead sea marathon, on 27. april, we gona check out macca mall. we run around the old and new mall. it’s realy exciting to find out how big macca mall has become.

i like to raise one issue here. over the past seven months the running community participating in Run in Jordan has grown from 18 to 82. i think we can say that until today Run in Jordan has done well. but, i would consider it a greater proof of success when there would be 100 or more finishers in this last foot race of this winter. if all of you who read this are coming, participating and finishing the race, then we will be definitely more than 100 people. this is why i like to ask all of you to help in making this dream come true.

meeting point

we have found a small but important missing informative item on the flyer - our meeting point on jabal amman. on friday we meet at 9:30 am at the jordan river foundation on rainbow road.

please spread the word and help others to be there on time.

please find the details for our next foot-race online. our next race will be in the heard of old jabal amman. the meeting point is at the “jordan river foundation” where also the light buffet will be given to all participants at the end of the race. our host on jabal amman is JARA - the jabal amman residency association. the buffet will be prepared and served by a well known restaurant on jabal amman itself - the Romero. this means, if youre second most loved task is good food (the most loved task is Running ), then you must come and participate. Bring your friends and family along. for further details click on the “event” menu item above.

change of race date

sorry for this one. the host called me and asked to move the race to one week later. therefore, please make changes in your schedule:

the Run in Jordan foot race for march 2007 is NOT on friday 16. march 2007 but instead on friday 23. march 2007.

this means, that this foot race is three weeks prior to the dead sea ultra-marathon.

here we go for another run. make yourself ready for friday 16. of march 2007. i am still in negotiations but believe it will be where i intend to have it. Start as usual at 10 am.

the weather is fine, the foot race is taking place

this is our chance! the wind scatters the clouds. we definitely will hold the foot race in al-sweifieh. so grab your running shoes but keep a jacket near you. see you later! t-shirt and a light buffet will be given at the end.
